| Sue Owen is the founder of CHERISH collect
for life, set up to raise funds for Cancer Research UK through the sale
of collectable bears and beanies. She also enjoys knitting tiny sweaters
for bears and has designed one such item of ‘Boglin’s Knitwear’
for her Hound to model.
Knitted in the famous Harrods signature colours of green and gold, the
sweater has the H logo embroidered on it. It is fastened with a Dalmatian
dog-shaped button. Sue has sewn gold bugle beads on the dog’s
forehead in the shape of the H and stitched tiny green and gold stars
and beads around the head. The Harrods Hound wears a diamonte-studded
collar, which is a perfect fit – amazingly so, because this was
purchased from Harrods famous Pet Department as a collar to fit a real
dog (a ‘pixie’)! The Harrods price tag has been left attached.
Also hanging from the collar is a medallion with the engraving 'I 
TO SHOP'.
The Harrods theme continues with a Harrods logo pin badge in the hound’s
right ear and a Harrods plastic coated fabric tote bag in which to carry
this pampered pooch around! Included in the auction is a Christmas-themed
green and gold sleeping bag made by Andy Brooks and Joyce Tunks. |
