Stef Probert is the designer and creator of the award-winning
Windy Ridge Bears. Chosen as the 2003 Planet Teddy Bear Artist of the
Year, Stef is also a British Bear Artist Nominee 2004, awaiting the
final result any day now!
Last year Stef designed a special CHERISH charity bear, which was raffled
for Cancer Research UK. This year, Stef designed CHERISH Charity bear
2004, available in a limited edition of 50. The Number 1 bear of the
edition is being auctioned on eBay this week, along with a custom-designed
sweater by Sue Owen, a one-off Windy Ridge Bears black and gold tee
shirt and a selection of toiletries from Stef's Bear Essentials range.
Stef's bears are distinctive because of their striking colours, often
achieved through hand-dying the mohair herself, and through the strong
design features.
Stef has air-brushed and drawn a design onto Color Me Cat, giving a
purple tabby effect. She has added some crazy feathers to this feline
as well as some heart motifs to the paws and purple sparkle to her nose,
giving her a totally individual look.
A Christmas-themed sleeping bag made by Andy Brooks and Joyce Tunks
is inlcuded with this funky feline.
