INTERNATIONAL CHILDHOOD CANCER DAY

On 15th February I started a series of internet auctions on

Background

The aim of International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD) was to raise awareness
of children's cancers and funds for research.  It was a worldwide campaign that
took place on and around the date of 15 February.

An estimated 250,000 of the world's children develop cancer each year, with
four in five not diagnosed with the disease, or denied the life-saving treatment
that they need.

Cancer Research UK and parent organisations from 46 countries joined together in organising innovative activities to mark the Day.  The International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organisations (ICCCPO) , who organised the day is a body that represents parents and families of cancer patients worldwide. Their mission is to improve access to the best treatment and care for all children with cancer.
