On Saturday March 13th 2004 CHERISH held a
Worldwide All Day Breakfast in aid of Cancer Research UK.

March 12th was the official 'All Day Breakfast' date promoted by the charity but people could hold their events on any day in March.

Usually fundraisers organise breakfasts at work or at home to raise money.
I sold breakfast to my work colleagues on Friday 12th and went better on Saturday 13th by inviting my friends worldwide to join me for breakfast online at their breakfast time in whatever part of the world they lived.

There were various ways in which CHERISH raised money while having fun:

1) Decorate or dress a Ty product according to the breakfast theme and mail it to me.
All decorated items (which were donated to CHERISH) were entered into a competition for the most original WORLDWIDE ALL DAY BREAKFAST themed entry. Some photographs appeared in Bean Bag and Collectables Magazine.

Prizes were awarded for the best, following a poll to find out which entry was everyone's
'ALL ROUND ALL DAY BREAKFAST FAVOURITE'

2) The entries were offered for sale by silent auction on this website after they were judged.

3) People were invited to send me their favourite breakfast recipe. These recipes were included in a
CHERISH WORLDWIDE BREAKFAST RECIPE BOOK
which was offered for sale as part of a special Breakfast Beanie Package.
Sir Richard Branson shared his favourite breakfast recipe!

4) Auctions took place on eBay of Breakfast-related collectables, including Beanies signed by members of the Celebrity Fit Club, a Harrods 'Breakfast' Bear signed by Mohamed Al Fayed, Sir Richard Branson's signed baseball hat breakfast package and a set of Eggs Beanie with special sweaters.

5) There were other events on the day itself, including a guest map, graphic hunt, quiz and forum.

Total raised was approx. £1900 (after fees)

In June I was delighted to be presented with an award for raising the most in Buckinghamshire for Cancer Research UK through a Biggest Breakfast Event
